Mike Tyson has accomplished a lot in his career, excelling in boxing, podcasting, and business ventures. Despite being 56 years old, he still displays impressive strength and agility. In a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, WWE icon Ric Flair discussed Jake Paul’s interest in fighting Tyson. Although Rogan commended Paul’s fighting abilities, he doesn’t think Jake stands a chance against Tyson.

Rogan was really quick to warn Jake Paul about the consequences of the fight, saying, someone who has previously stood at the top of the heavyweight division once will definitely not fall so easily. Like ex-champion George Foreman said recently, “Power doesn’t age”. According to Rogan, Mike Tyson can still show Paul the difference in their levels.

Both Flair and Rogan expressed their respect for Tyson, cautioning Jake Paul about the potential risks of fighting against him.

Flair specifically warned against taking on Tyson, while Rogan acknowledged Tyson’s continuing prowess despite his age. Rogan reminded of a video of Tyson training with mitts during his preparation for the Roy Jones fight. He said, “When you see him holding the mitts for Tyson and Tyson smashing the mitts, Jesus! That guy can still f**k you up”. Rogan emphasized that age is just a number, and with hormone replacement, vitamins, and advanced recovery techniques like electrical muscular stimulation, Mike Tyson is still capable of causing serious harm. He warned that if Jake Paul sees Mike Tyson bobbing and weaving on the other side of the ring, he will recognize that he is fighting “The Baddest Man on the Planet”.

Mike Tyson’s words on a hypothetical Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson has previously shared his thoughts on the outcome of the fight between him and Jake Paul. Ahead of the fight between Paul and Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia this year, Tyson had predicted Paul to be the winner of the fight, which, as we now know, turned out to be wrong. He even praised Paul for trying to fight a real boxer despite starting off as a YouTuber.

Although he spoke highly of Paul, he was very clear about the result of a hypothetical fight between him and the Ohia-raised internet sensation. Despite Paul having beat retired MMA legends, Tyson made it clear that if they are to fight, Paul would get demolished. Tyson said, “I would beat these f**kers [Jake and Logan Paul]. I’d go straight at them, there would be no boxing. The only thing I got to do is be in shape”. Tyson’s words show the deep confidence he has in himself, even though he has aged now.
