“It’s Great. It’s Good”: ‘Ecstatic’ Celtics HC Joe Mazzulla’s Shocking Reaction to Loss vs Shorthanded Lakers

The Boston Celtics received their third blow at home fortress. They maintained a clean 20-0 home record until the defending champions wrecked it with a close win. And within a matter of a few days, it has gone down to 20-3. Notably, the third loss came against the shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers. Moreover, the Thursday night result extracted a shocking response from the Celtics HC Joe Mazzulla.
Following the game, he reportedly said, “It’s great. It’s good. It just happens. Stretches of bad basketball happen…We can’t sit here and act like we’re too entitled for that to happen to us.”
Quoting the Head Coach, Jared Weiss, who covers the Celtics and NBA for The Athletic, said Mazzulla was hyped after the loss. This was in reference to Mazzulla’s statement calling it “great” and “good”. While there may be a bit of sarcasm there, Mazzulla’s response does raise eyebrows. Does the coach not take the losses seriously? Or is it just a facade and he already is making plans to get things back in order? Or maybe it’s the case of him not letting the loss bother him due to his confidence in his team.

Ever since he took up the HC role, the NBA world has seen a series of uncanny moves from Mazzulla. Starting from taking a coach’s review during garbage minutes, to playing with less than four bench players. And, interestingly, the 35-year-old’s methods have proven to be working for the Celts.
They are currently at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 37-12 record. He also took the team to the Conference Finals in the last season. And, after the inclusion of Kristaps Porzingis, the team looks extremely lethal. However, tonight, the team couldn’t meet the expectation. Despite having a fully healthy roster, they lost to a team that didn’t have their superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
25-year-old Austin Reaves led the team with 32 points to construct a comfortable 105-114 victory over the Celts. Moreover, D’Angelo Russell pitched in 16 points with 14 assists. On the other hand, the home team’s starters didn’t make much noise, as they only dropped 65 points.
The disappointing result did extract a strange reaction from Joe. Let’s look into another similar response from Joe this season.
Joe Mazzula gives a shocking response amid Buddy Hield feud
A few hours ago, the Celtics took the revenge against the Indiana Pacers after their controversial win their last outing. Referee didn’t give a foul call, and the Pacers went on to win the game. But after the game, several reports suggested that Buddy Hield went to the Celtics bench and admitted that he had a contact.
