However, the richest player in the 2023 FIBA World Cup might come as a shock to many fans. It is Minnesota Timberwolves and French star Rudy Gobert in terms of total earnings, contract, and net worth.

Gobert has an estimated net worth of $40 million as per Celebrity Net Worth. Also, he has earned over $176 million in NBA salary so far in his ten years in the league according to Spotrac.

Notably, the center signed a five-year $205 million contract extension with the Utah Jazz in 2020. Not everyone approved the huge contract. Notably, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal openly criticized Jazz’s decision.

The top-5 richest players in the 2023 FIBA World Cup are 1) Rudy Gobert, 2) Nikola Vucevic, 3) Luka Doncic, 4) Karl-Anthony Towns, and 5) Anthony Edwards. Runner-up Vucevic who signed a three-year $60 million contract extension with the Chicago Bulls has earned over $153 million so far.

The center has an estimated net worth of $30 million. Taking the third spot is Luka Doncic with a net worth of $25 million. He signed a five-year $215 million extension with the Dallas Mavericks in 2021. The Slovenian has so far earned close to $70 million in NBA salary.

Next in line is the talented forward Karl-Anthony Towns. The Dominican Republic star has an estimated net worth of $12 million. Towns signed a five-year $158 million extension with the Timberwolves in 2018. Notably, he has earned $146 million so far from the league.

Anthony Edwards is the only American in the list and he takes the fifth spot with a net worth of $14 million. However, he is the third Timberwolves star on the list. He signed a year $205 million extension with the Wolves in July 2023. So far, Edwards has earned $30 million in salary.
