The Golden State Warriors were on a roll and aiming for a third-straight win ahead of the huge matchup against division rivals, Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. While the Warriors lost three games in a row after the return of their star player Stephen Curry from injury, the upturn in form had given fans hope for another deep run in the Playoffs. However, a major moment during the game might reduce their chances of repeating, especially considering the competition in the West.

During the game against the Clippers, Warriors star forward Draymond Green received his 16th technical foul of the season. This has resulted in the 34-year-old getting hit by a severe penalty, which will surely affect the team.

According to the rules of the NBA, any player who exceeds the threshold of 15 technical fouls during the regular season gets suspended for one game. After a player receives his 16th tech, that player is suspended for each two additional technical fouls.

Given that Green already had 15 technical fouls this season, this foul called against him has resulted in his suspension for the next Warriors game against the Atlanta Hawks. He will be fined $5000 for it as well as per the rules.

Draymond Green was in the third spot for the most technical fouls received this season. He was only one technical away from Luka Doncic and Dillon Brooks, both of whom have 16 each for the season.
