Paul negotiated several big deals on the first day of free agency. The biggest of the lot includes a $160 million contract of Jerami Grant with the Portland Trail Blazers, followed by Draymond Green and Fred VanVleet with $100 million and $130 million, respectively.

While Forbes listed Paul’s net worth as $46 million in 2020, several reports suggested that his net worth has surpassed the $100 million mark.

Despite the agent’s negotiation skills, fans wonder how much he actually makes per contract.

According to Finty.com, the star agent earns up to 4% commission per contract. Paul made $6.4 million in Grant’s contract and $5.2 million with VanVleet’s contract, along with $4 million in Green’s contract.

So totally, he bagged up to $15.8 million on the opening day of free agency with the big names.

Apart from professional basketball players, Paul also has signed up as agents for college stars like Bronny James.

James celebrates his friend’s big win

Moments after Rich Paul cracked the big number of contracts, James took to his Twitter and expressed his excitement for his friend’s success. He wrote, “And y’all still wanna question is Rich Paul is the H.I.M.”

The star agent is indeed living by his name while making it big in the NBA world where spotlight generally shines on players. But paying Paul in the NBA’s larger-than-life trades is not the classic case of robbing Peter. And that makes it even worth it.
