‘See How Quick Charles [Oliveira] Tapped’ – Joe Rogan Brands ‘Methodical and Dominant’ Islam Makhachev ‘F***ing Truth’ After Fulfilling Khabib’s Dream

The main event of the UFC 280 night was held between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev, claiming the hearts of millions of fans. The beloved UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, was no different.

Joe Rogan recently told in his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ with Maynard Keenan, that the Oliveira and Makhachev fight utterly amazed him. His impression of Makhachev rose to great levels as he talked about the ‘truth’ to the fighter.

Islam Makhachev impressed Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan told his audience that he was amazed by the fight between Oliveira and Makhachev, in episode #1887 of the JRE, featuring Maynard James Keenan. “Watching Isam and Charles Oliveira… That was- What a fight that was!”, exclaimed Rogan.

However, his amazement seemed to go on when he came to talk about Makhachev. He was greatly impressed with the squeezing power of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s prodigy. He said, “Islam Makhachev must have the most incredible squeeze. His squeeze must be out of this world. Because you see how quick Charles tapped once he clamped that on him, I mean poof!”

Rogan believed Islam Makhachev to be the truth

Makhachev has indeed fascinated Rogan to the greatest heights. The commentator was literally incapable of stopping when it came to praising the fighter and subsequently called him ‘the truth’. Rogan said, “That dude is on another level. He is the truth. I was always impressed with him, but I mean, I was saying leading up to him, getting a shot at the title. He’s [Charles Oliveira] the boogeyman of that division. He was the guy that everybody was saying, like he’s the most dominant of all the contenders.”

Rogan continued his praise for Makhachev, recalling the fights and him tapping out major fighters. Without a doubt, Makhachev’s strength in wrestling is the thing that earned him fans and respect. Furthermore, he said, “It’s like the way he’s tapping these guys who are these world-class fighters, he’s just [snaps finger] f**king running through them.”

In spite of the Brazilian’s expertise in jiu-jitsu, the fact that Makhachev mounted him and submitted him with an arm triangle dropped many jaws. Undoubtedly, Joe Rogan was one of them. He said in his amazement, “He submitted the guy with the most submissions in the history of the sport and the way he did it was so f**king methodical and dominant.” Rogan claimed that Makhachev was the truth. “But Makhachev… He’s the f**king truth!”, said Rogan.

Joe Rogan on Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski

Makhachev, following his victory, had a face-off inside the cage with Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski. Makhachev and Volkanovski are set to fight in the upcoming events in Australia. Moreover, the podcaster found it interesting and called it crazy. Rogan said, “Interesting that he’s gonna fight Volkanovski next. That’s kind of a crazy thing for Volkanovski to go right up to 55 from 45.”
