WWE is really rewarding its international fans this year. Last month, WWE fans in Canada got the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. In the upcoming months, the WWE Universe will get Backlash in Puerto Rico, King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia, and Money in the Bank in London, England.

Global fans are really looking forward to enjoying the top three PLEs after WrestleMania 39 in their home countries. But it looks like the international fans will be getting more of the WWE action besides this as well.

WWE might return to Australia

Dave Meltzer from Wrestling News Observer reported that the Stamford-based promotion’s management is “negotiating” with the Australian Government to “run a major stadium show” in their country. The city where the pro wrestling company will hold the show would be Perth.

Recently, UFC hosted the UFC 284 event at the RAC Arena last month in the same city. UFC has hosted many shows in Australia before. Also, the last time WWE held an event in Australia was in 2018 titled WWE Super Showdown, which took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The live audience numbers were recorded to be almost around 70, 000 as the show was a total blockbuster. If WWE gets a green light, then Australian fans can expect another big show in the country.

What happened the last time in Australia?

Melbourne fans saw the inaugural Super Showdown that took place on October 6, 2018. The main event of the show saw Triple H beat The Undertaker in a No Disqualification match.

The match before the main event was between Daniel Bryan and The Miz. In this match, the former gained victory over the latter and earned a title shot at the WWE Heavyweight Championship. The match was a short-lived one.

Also, the night saw the trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose, known by the name, The Sheild, defeat the team of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre. The Dirty Deeds star was the one to secure a pinfall victory over The Show Off.
