Despite Starting Boxing as a “Joke”, KSI Remains Brutally Honest While Reflecting on His Journey After He “Kept Winning” as a Boxer

The Influencer boxing that has managed to drag everybody’s attention to the sport of boxing, was started as a joke. At least as far as revealed by one of the pioneers of the Youtube boxing era, KSI. Currently, the famous Youtuber-turned-boxer is going to attend the eighth fight of his career and will be facing a professional boxer, Tommy Fury. The British Youtuber will be fighting alongside his formal rival, and current business partner, Logan Paul, who will be raising his gloves against Dillon Danis.

KSI has won every bout until now and is fighting Tommy Fury for showing the world if he’s actually any better than his arch-nemesis, Jake Paul. Before this, ‘The Problem Child’ got handed over the first defeat of his career by Fury. For that reason, amid the Paul-KSI beef, ‘Nightmare’ decided to go against the British pro boxer. He recently talked about his boxing journey in detail.

The Internet sensation, KSI, recently appeared on the ‘Good Morning Britain’ show. He was asked how got into boxing, and what made him so serious about it. Ironically KSI replied, “[Boxing] started as a joke.” He then went on to explain the initial stages of Influencer boxing. Also, told the world how everything started with an online banter between him and Joe Weller.

So, in one of the Posts regarding a sparring session, KSI jokingly called him out on a fight. Well, things got heated further as both of them interrupted each other’s panel at the Upload Live show. Well, in the interview, KSI explained it by saying, “So me just calling out a guy called Joe Weller. He was like one of the first guys who was doing this boxing thing. I called him out as a joke is like, ‘Oh I’ll fight you, after you fight this other guy.’ And he won his fight, he then called me out.

So he told the reporters, that he wasn’t ready for it though. He didn’t expect Weller to be serious about it. At first, the Youtuber did not have any intention to fight, but then he “just went for it“. He stated that once he started doing it, he could never look back.

As a young teenager, KSI was known to make funny FIFA videos from his room. Well, amidst all the Youtube drama, JJ Olatunji grabbed the opportunity to fight his online enemies. For that reason, after putting down Weller, he also went ahead with consecutive two fights against his good friend and an enemy of the past, Logan Paul. The fight made everybody serious about the entire Influencer boxing scene.

Also, JJ Olatunji added during the interview, “[I] kept going, kept winning. All of a sudden, I’m fighting Tommy Fury, who’s a professional boxer.” Currently, KSI is entirely focused on doing everything to get under the skin of Paul, as he’s revealed on multiple occasions, that when it comes to boxing, his final goal is already fixated, it’s Jake Paul.

That is the reason, he’s decided to fight Tommy Fury to show the world that he’s a better boxer than the 7-1 boxer. Well, it’d be an interesting card as the world will see two mega-superstars in the world of content creation, stepping inside the ring back-to-back in one single night.
