The Rock‘s electrifying return to WWE after eight years even gave Jake Paul a chance to meet him; however, it was anything but smooth sailing. Teaming up with his cousin Roman Reigns, The Rock entered the arena with a roar of excitement from the Philadelphia crowd. So much so that it also became the reason for his cameo at WrestleMania’s main event: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes, where he shared his take on none other than John Cena.

However, those fireworks came in an unexpected form when The Undertaker choke-slammed The Rock at full force. The crowd gasped in unison as The Rock crumpled to the mat. Subsequently, Cody Rhodes ended up grabbing the WWE Universe championship title. Right after all of the mayhem, The Rock met with the rising superstar of boxing, Jake Paul. Both shook hands and even hugged each other; it looked quite wholesome and unexpected at the same time.

Jake said, “You can do it. Get up. The Paul family needs you. Come on.” As it turned out, due to his brother’s support and his dear friend, IShowSpeed, Logan Paul ended up grabbing the US Championship title right under the nose of his two other opponents. In another Instagram Story, Paul shared his backstage meeting with The Rock, and even tagged him in the clip. Well, this video was later uploaded by Fight Hub TV on YouTube.

The fans, however, had a different point of view about Jake Paul’s meeting with The Rock. For some reason, they decided to have a field day over the latest video of Jake Paul.

Fans view the unexpected meetup differently

This recent encounter between Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and social media star Jake Paul soon ignited a firestorm of comments on social media. Many fans expressed disappointment for The Rock, suggesting it wasn’t his “greatest moment” meeting Paul; one enthusiast wrote, “It definitely wasn’t the rocks greatest Moment meeting a clown“, pointing out that Dwayne Johnson is a bigger celebrity than Jake Paul.

Speculative comments also emerged, with some fans suggesting Paul might be “sizing up” The Rock for a potential fight. It read, “Jake Paul probably sizing him up to see if he is older enough to fight!” This indicated how Paul’s past opponents were much older than him.

Moreover, Paul’s confidence was also a target, they talked about his closed body language in front of the Rock. One fan hinted, “Jake is probably the most insecure person I’ve ever seen“, suggesting how some fans perceived his persona in general.
