With the first-ever F1 sprint qualifying done and dusted, Sebastian Vettel will start the British Grand Prix from P8. The German driver gained two positions in the sprint race after starting the session from P10. He drove well, but his old rival Fernando Alonso held the four-time world champion up in an epic fight for P7.

The sprint qualifying was 17 laps and 100kms long and finished in 30 minutes. The Aston Martin also acknowledged the same when he commented on the sprint qualifying.
” I am just thinking that race was probably shorter than the media session, giving everyone an answer. That’s I want it to be quick,” said Sebastian.

Max Verstappen takes fourth consecutive pole position in 2021

As reported by Sky Sports, Max Verstappen won the sprint qualifying to start the British Grand Prix from pole position. The P1 at Silverstone marks his fourth consecutive pole in the 2021 season.
Home favorite and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was left disappointed after he lost the lead at the start to fall behind Max. The Mercedes driver will start the race from P2 ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Charles Leclerc will start P4 ahead of the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo. Alpine’s Fernando Alonso was the star of the sprint qualifying and will start the race in P7, ahead of Vettel. George Russell helped himself to a P9 start for tomorrow while Esteban Ocon will start P10.
